The Benefits of Working with National Fire Experts

National Fire Experts (NFE), a part of Alpine Intel, provides actionable intelligence to residential, commercial, industrial, vehicle, marine vessel, and specialty equipment fires with the highest degree of accuracy, consistency, and professionalism.

Actionable Reports

Our experts adhere to the National Fire Protection Association’s (NFPA) guidelines and are qualified to examine the evidence at any fire scene through our 11-step investigation.

Actionable Reports

While some fire origin and cause investigations may result in an “undetermined” or “unspecified” cause, we understand our clients require more clarity. When the cause is inconclusive, we identify the following:

  • The most plausible cause of the fire
  • Other plausible causes
  • Recommended actions regarding each plausible cause
  • Entities to notify if the carrier determines that a joint examination of the evidence is required
  • The status of the evidence

We provide the most actionable origin and cause reports in the industry with an easy-to-read summary containing the most crucial details adjusters need.

Evidence Management

Our fire investigators are trained to secure evidence onsite and properly collect fire evidence for third-party volatile combustible materials testing. Loss Logistics* is available to recover larger pieces of evidence, including appliances, which they can transfer to one of Component Testing Laboratories’ (CTL) locations for testing and storage. Loss Logistics’ associates are trained in evidence handling and preservation.

*Component Testing Laboratories (CTL) and Loss Logistics are part of the Alpine Intel suite of services.

Evidence Management

The chain of custody is preserved and documented through every step of the evidence management process, preventing evidence spoliation.
